OBJECTIVE

To attain a challenging new position where my background in graphic arts, web design and management will significantly contribute to a team oriented workplace.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

· Management: My five years of restaurant management experience and over ten years of working as volunteer coordinator for Sena Foundation’s annual Pear Blossom Festival have given me excellent communication and people skills.

· Graphic Arts: My current position at The Caroline Progress is as it’s sole Graphic Artist.  It has given me the opportunity to work on numerous aspects of graphic arts including designing ads, tab covers, flexi covers and special section covers.  My participation in the process of fully paginating the paper provided me a working knowledge of newspaper layout.  I also spent four years as the Graphic Artist for Sena Foundation’s quarterly magazine, "Sharing the Seasons".  These jobs have laid a solid foundation for my graphics skills and I am looking forward to new and challenging goals.  Samples of my work can be seen here.

· Web Design:  I have been active in Web Design for over five years and have developed many websites for a variety of clients.  I currently maintain my own site, Blue’s Art  & Graphics Site, am also a member of the team that maintains the site for Sena Foundation and am currently developing a site for The Caroline Progress.  I have also developed sites for Suntech and Alightweigh.

· Writing Experience: I have been writing for as long as I can remember and believe that this experience has helped me tremendously in designing ads, creating brochures, etc.  I have had several articles published in The Caroline Progress.  Samples of my writing can be seen on the Words page of this site.
