Virginia & Atlantic Model Railroaders

On April 1, 1998 we opened our gates to the public in the Ashland/Hanover Shopping Center at the
intersection of Route 1 and Route 54. We now occupy six store fronts in the corner courtyard of this
cool little railroad town shopping center. Its ¼ mile east of I-95 near gas, food, lodging, churches,
shopping, a lot of history and just minutes from downtown Richmond, Virginia; a major hub for most
north-south and east-west rail traffic since the beginning of rail history. Come in and view each of our
layouts through large windows anytime the shopping center is open. Periodically, the special interest
groups will open their doors for a walk around the layout(s) and a closer look at areas you find most
interesting. Our layouts are normally available for viewing during regular shopping center hours. We
do take our layouts to other locations for shows, so check prior to visiting to see which layouts are
home and where the rest are.
