The Pony that I am working on was bought new by my grandfather in 1952.It
has been in the family ever since.I use it to plow about 2 acres of
vegetable garden each spring and summer. The Pony works about 15 hours a
year.My uncle and I and the local shade tree machine rebuilt the motor
about 5 years ago,it runs fine.Yes I have worked on it on several
occasions. The carb. is bad about getting trash in in it,about once a year I
have to take it apart and clean it.The only equipment I have is the
cultivators (plows}, it is a great tractor for plowing.
I did not start out to restore this tractor, only to keep in good running
order. It needed several repairs and I decided to make them this winter.Once
I started to take it apart, the restoration bug hit! I have taken ever thing
off the motor except the distributor and have started cleaning and priming
the parts to put back.I want to get it running again then work on the rest
of it.
