Christians in Action
Something really awesome
is happening at Wright's Chapel, and you don't have to be a
member of the church to become part of it. If you haven't
already heard about it, it's CIA (Christians in Action).
It's a group of high school and middle school students who like
getting together with their friends and also like making new
friendships. They meet at Wright's Chapel on Wednesdays
from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m.
Newcomers show up regularly, and we're glad they came to see
what CIA is all about. They probably heard some stuff
about it from their friends. If you haven't been, come and
join us.
CIA is definitely about socializing and having a good
time. But there's a catch. It's also about work--but
a kind you'll enjoy. CIA is going to get you involved in
the community to help others who have needs. So come
prepared to use your talents on a project or two. Also
come prepared to learn talents that you didn't know you
had. Your friends have learned to split wood, sew, cook,
use tools, and paint to mention a few. By giving of
yourself to those with needs, think of the difference you can
make to improve the lives of others.
What are the Wednesday meetings like?

Our Youth Director and her husband, Dawn and Randy Haughn, have
guided CIA as the group has grown in members and in its mission
of good work to help those with needs. They want CIA
meetings to be a place where you can come to relax with
friends. They also want it to be a place where you learn
about Christian faith in ways that make sense to you and that
you can use in real life. So it's your chance to learn,
worship, and serve others with the support of your friends.
When you're at one of the meetings, ask Dawn or Randy about some
of the annual events and trips. There's the Celebration
Tour, Harvest of Hope, Christmas in April, and Revolve Tour to
mention a few.
If you or your parents have any questions about CIA, please
telephone the church or send an email to Dawn Haughn at wrightsyouth@bealenet.com
