 What We Believe (Our Ministry)

John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement, referred to our ministry as "practical divinity."  His meaning was that to live a full Christian life, you need to put faith and love into action.  That's what members of Wright's Chapel strive to do.

You can look at yourself as a disciple of Christ or simply as a member of this community of faith reaching out in practical ways to the world around us and sharing your talents with those in need.  In so doing, both you and those helped experience God's grace.

Sunday worship is important at Wright's Chapel.  We hope your attendance will become a habit.  It's a time to grow closer to God through learning and sharing.  It's a time to welcome others into our church family of faith.  It's a time for nurturing our children in their formative years so as they grow older, they will find their strength in God no matter where life's journey may take them.  We hope you leave Sunday worship with a practical message of faith and love that you can apply in your daily lives.

Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors.  That's the spirit of the Methodist journey.  Everyone is welcome.  We value diversity.  Each day abounds with opportunities to serve.  To lead by example.  To influence the lives of people that you touch through your ministry.
